Did you know?

Prairie Village was named by J.C. Nichols in 1941 because of its resemblance to a village on the prairie and the the fact that Prairie School was located here. Land was originally the Porter Family Farm.1

Located at Tomahawk and Roe in Prairie Village, Porter Park is named for the Porter Elementary Schoolhouse that once was located there.2
